You might just want to pull the idle cut off out and see if it is actually moving or ensure that it is not broke...

Well I called Gilmore out of Florida and will get the AC from him. It will cost about $1400 for the same (looking) unit that my 66 came with installed by the dealer. He is a few weeks out but should be able to get it all together. If anyone knows of a better kit that is more reasonable let me know. ...
