Hi Buggie, and Welcome! John is right about the original paint....the quality is so much better now. The paint codes on VWs are also known as L-Codes and many paint companies do a really good job at replicating the paint. I highly recommend Wolfsburg West for VW parts but I have also purchased from ...

Hi Marco - Glad to hear that you are making progress on the '65. I hope we get a look at it pretty soon! I'm a little challenged myself when it comes to uploading photos! Can't wait to see it. I'm sure you will want to take a lot of pictures as you restore it - then you will have a scrap book to dis...

In addition they do have a lot of VW parts for sale too - so you can get your project and look for parts at the same site. I have bought parts from private parties on that site and have never...

No, I am not doing the paint or body work. I thought I would try some of the interior work with the exception of the headliner...that just seems to be too much work. There are some decent videos out there on how to do the seats etc. so I think I'll give that a try and leave the paint to the pros.

Hi: Just stumbled onto your site - I like all the info on the home page! Believe it or not I was looking for information related to paint codes and interiors. I have a 66 bahama blue beetle that needs a lot of work. The body is solid but the interior and the paint needs to be redone. Looking forward...
