Can anyone tell me if the 1966 bug has a bumper mount bracket made soley for '66 bugs? I've seen some advertised by vendors "thru 1965", and even on places like eBay "thru 1965". I thought that since the brackets & bumpers were of the smaller pre-1968+ variety, my '66 could u...

What about using a floor jack below the stock jack supports? Is that an okay place to raise the car from? I know they're there for use with the jacks that come with the vw's, but I thought I'd ask...

Glad someone asked that question...I had been meaning to ask why the PO of my '66 didn't get 2 matching colors - I was about to either buy new matching colored ones or paint them! LOL Thanks guys!!

I'm interested in installing some Porsche Cookie Cutters on my '66 using the VW 5-lug pattern to Porsche adapters. I know if I had the $, I'd opt for pre-drilled wheel drums, but funds are limited. Can you tell me of any clearance problems I might run into? I plan on using 15" x 6"W Cookie...

Personally, I'd either mount it in the glove box with a kit, or bolt it under the dash with a radio block off in place. Cutting the dashboard to accomodate a later stereo is just a shame, and I'm not a big fan of the newer digital radios that are supposed to look stock...just my opinion. Another opt...

My '66 has the push-button type door handles. The prior owner has since passed away so I have no way of finding out what modifications he may have made to this car. I think I'd prefer the square button handles on my bug anyway...just hope they'll fit as well on mine.

I ended up purchasing a 2 foot piece of 3/14" metal brake line (for about $4 at O'Reilly's Auto parts) that bent nicely with my pipe bender and worked perfectly! Thanks guys!
