Good to see another Bahama Blue 66. I think the flasher is a standard 67 or later flasher. I believe the turn signals on these had a seperate flasher from the hazards.

Your assumption is correct. The only way to find out if the engine is OG is to order a birth certificate from Germany. The F0 at the begining does tell that the engine is a 1966 1300. Whether it is OG who knows.

I also have a case like yours. The hole is for a sensor on the late model fuel injected engines. Does it have a mechanical fuel pump or is the fuel pump mounting area just flat?

A common problem with the solex carburator. The key is the jet which is located in the bottom of the carb. all of the stuff that slips through the fuel filter collects at the bottom and restricts the fuel. I suggest getting a carb. kit and giving the the carb a good cleaning using a carb cleaning so...

Stock style tubes perform well. Just remember to place the seam facing up and use a quality seal kit. You will find that the leaks will not be a problem when installed properly.

Synthetic oils have come a long way in recent years. I am an automotive instructor and have no problems running synthetic oils. They will out perform any petroleum oil available. The biggest hurdle is pricing. If you do not mind the cost difference of running a synthetic than I say do it. However us...

Sounds like you have done everthing. I have a 30 PICT 2 on my bug and it has no provisions for an idle cutoff valve but if I am not mistaken this valve is only used to keep the engine from running on when the ignition is shut off. The only other thing that I can come up with is to check the shaft th...
