Yeap! That's what i'm talking about! There's some people from other sites that say that I should cut the plunger inside the solenoid so it wouldn't funtion but I still have the choke element to worry about because I'm guesssing it's 12V too!

I'm having the same problem and I do have the solex 31PIC carb with the brass doohicky wire thingy. I did notice that I had some frayed wires connecting to the plug. Tomorrow I'll make a new connection and report what happens.
