excellent, Once it warms up you'll notice any wrinkles that you may notice,fold marks etc will magically disapear,mine did anyway! 8)

Bill ,check your clips in the body holes ,possiby the clips aren't compressing enough to fit the holes.thechrome should attach with very little pressure.

the ones I installed were numbered which came with a cheat sheet so you know which number goes where!problem with after 7,8,9.------17 beers I got lost and don't forget where you put the cheat sheet :lol:

sound like you may have bent rim or thrown some wheel weights causing your wheel to go out of balance,and the wheel could be in the rear,which if it is,your cv joint might be going out causing shifting problems and shaking,not a real hard fix for a good mechanic!Still sounds like your voltage reg is...

there you go Max! The 85.5 areplenty perky and they won't stress the 1300 case,where the 1600 jugs would.The thing we had problem with the old cases was when they were split to beef him,they inherited an oil leak in the seem. Damn things you couldn't even drive em legally when the speed limit was 55...

The 1300 engine when it evolved became the builders dream! you can do a little everything with them. line bore for bigger cranks,cams,flycut bigger jugs,but what do you want a hotrod or a vw? A little more power add $150.00 and 85.5's and 8 hours of your time,I've built 4 of them in the last 5 years...

boy I have to get back here more often.I forgot to ask after seeing what Matt posted. Won't start after you drove it and engine warmed up to temp?Does it turn over when hot or only after it cools down? If that's the case it would be the front bearing on your starter seizing up.
