Would yours be a late 1965 model? I thought August 1 was when the new model year started. Do you have a center defrost vent on the dash? What is the VIN? Casey

I stripped my regulator out by forcing it in winter when the old grease was solid. I used the Wolfsburg West regulator. http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=111837501F It has been three years and it works well. I think the only way to fix your problem is to switch whole regulator. Ca...

What carb are you using? I typed dual point in previous post, I meant dual port. I assumed you had a 34 PICT 3 distributor.

That looks right to me. What carb are you using? If it is a 34 PICT3 a 205K is not a good match. The vacuum signal is different. 205K works best with a 30PICT1. I believe the dual point distributor is a 205AJ. It is a dual canister distributor. Casey

The only way I was able was to use a #3 phillips socket extension. Like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/snap-on-phillip ... SwblZZIinf

It came right out with the right tool. Casey

Buy a spare Trans/horn bolt. Use a cutting wheel to cut grooves in bolt. Maybe three or four. It will chase the threads and the grooves will hold the dirt. I'm not sure of the thread size or pitch. I am sure if you found a tap to the right size it would cost a fortune. Use plenty of oil or WD-40 whe...

It is still leaking, though oddly not as much as before. I have been on summer vacation and busy with kids. I hope to get to it later this month. I will post what I find. Casey

I have not used the Lucas, but this stuff is thick and stringy. It is almost like grease when temperature is cool. I clings to whatever you apply it to.

This is what I used. Worked very well. And it is cheap. Casey https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/permatex-engine-assembly-lube-4-oz-81950/12028851-p?c3ch=PLA&c3nid=12028851-P&iv_=__iv_p_1_a_214327102_g_12425515822_w_aud-496943010632:pla-286886690372_h_1016306_ii__d_c_v__n_g_x_pla_y_6201684_...

No, it is certainly main seal. Only when running, I can see it drip out front of case. Everything else is dry. I don't have time to drop engine before Mid America Motorwork's Funfest this weekend in Effingham. About 300 miles round trip, so I will feed its habit until then. I will report back after ...
