60's standards are rare where ever you are in the world, the fact it's RHD is a bonus. The Aussie CKD stuff is unusual and perhaps here in Europe is not as desirable as a Wolfsburg built bug, but at the end of the day, you have a rare car on your hands there bud! 8)

Aussie bugs had the small windows, solid wheels and king & link pin beam up to 67 then went to euro and us spec in 68! The missed out on the euro/us 65 and 66 models with bigger windows, slotted wheels etc.

Repro ones are available in a bright red colour from StatusVW here in tge UK, they do other colurs too. The one on mine is an original Sinko wirbulator/bug deflector and the clear colour is a little harder to get hold of. They did make them in red but to be honest it's more a Orange colour. There ar...

repros are like £250 ... wings are cheaper than that! :shock: Original wings aren't ;-) and these will probably only go straight onto original wngs, so by the time you've messed about chopping repro wings and skirts about, you could have had fenderskirts made to fit the shape of the wings perfectly...
