Help! How to remove door/handle tight screws

Hi.
I need some tips/advice on how to remove the tight door and handle screws.
I'm working on my restore projects and this seems to be my biggest issues so far.
Thanks
(Please ignore the same post done in the "restoration projects" section).

Help! How to remove the tight screws

Hi.
I'm working on my camper (and beetle next on que).
I'm stuck- getting those tightly held door and handle screws loose has proved to be a potential "stopper" on my projects. I sprayed WD but it doesn't seem to help. Any tips please? Is there a tool for this?
Thanks

Hi Blue Baron. What about running lean? I have observed something in the recent past- my fuel pump doesn't pump efficiently- apparently the fuel pump shaft is shorter than (compared to another- I actually didn't know they came in different lengths) what should be on the engine so I end up getting in...

Before you talk about a faulty relay, could there be another issue- you say the turn signal stays on when the brake is depressed. Could you be having wires crossing at your fuse box or your tail light holders? The turn signal relay is what is responsible for the on-off pulse we see on the signal lig...

personally, I prefer working with the original parts that are within specifications as they have proved themselves through the engines life... My decision, however, is partly dictated a lot by the scarcity of parts in my area. I believe it should be ok if all items are stock. I'd be all ears as well...

Just carry a seal or 2 and have your tool kit with you and be ready for an "emergency delivery" should the seal just collapse on the way.
Happy driving.

A leak from a push-rod tube perhaps? Faulty main seal despite fitting it well?? I once fit a new seal that failed me on the very first drive- (it was cheap yes and did cost me more).
All the best when you get to investigating the problem.

Valve guides and valves

Hi. I am with 1600cc engines with the 8mm valves. Looking around to get some valve guides, I saw 9mm guides/stems. A vendor who used to run a garage says the 9mm were made with guides that were superior to the 8mm though expensive. Is there anyone with information on this? Is it worthwhile consideri...

Pitted cylinder heads & pystons

Hi. I wonder, for parts that have done about 5000Kms car mileage, what might have been the issue to warrant such damage? (Is it an issue of carb tune-up? Running rich or lean???which one?) Sorry- image too large- thing is, it almost looks like an arc welding job was going on in there (in the combust...

Body restore advice

Hi. I'm considering doing some bodywork on my van that doesn't show for rust apart from some evident areas. My question, is it adviceable to tackle bodywork by going for bare metal (especially outside) or just the evidently needed places? My thinking is, if the panel is ok for all those years, why u...

I concede to your sound advice. I do have my documentation of the former.
I will do it all over again starting with an empty tank and compare the notes. I will soon get the opportunity to do the same drive hoping all other factors will hold constant.
Thanks.
