Welcome to the World of Beetle Bugs. That almost sounds like we need to call an exterminator . Looking forward to seeing pictures of your car.

Yeah, it looks like that from certain angles. I've noticed that in pics of my own car, and others. Always thought it was odd that VW didn't "square off" the bottom of the engine cover which would have allowed them to move the rear bumper about 3 inches closer to the body. Its amazing the ...

Here is the proud new owner with the black '66. http://images.thesamba.com/vw/gallery/pix/1195766.jpg This is a car that I rescued from a junkyard seven or eight years ago. The goal was always to see it back on the road one day (and ride in it) and it looks like that goal will be met. :!: You remin...

For some reason the lower picture make the rear bumper look like it's too low and far away from the body.

I agree. It has off White ones in it now and they just don't look right to me. Besides they are a bit soiled and need replacing anyhow. Thanks for the input.

I sure have been enjoying driving my Bug. There are still a few things I need to get done. The engine and compartment needs a good detail job. I need to install a new set of seat belts.

My '66 Sedan is coming along nicely

So far I've spent approximately $3500 on it upgrading things like a new steering wheel, grab handle, radio, pop-outs, new windshield, new Coker tires and refinished wheels and an electronic distributor. I recently discovered that the front and rear ...

What's that button under the rear seat?
The original owner had a 12 volt 2 speed fan installed inside the heater tube under the back seat. It works pretty good but I think I will be removing it.
