Lucy66 Unless I was going for a 100 point restoration, I would definitely recommend the original color to the car...if not, at least within the same model year. I too, am fond of the original color to the car. As a side note…my ’57 was originally Coral red and I purchased it with gorgeous Black pain...

Good luck with your trip! A friend of mine did the same as you but from theSamba.com, from Washighton St and in FEB!! He drove over the rockies in the winter with no heat!!
