Visors should be reversed and mirror's long end points to right. Looks good.

If '64 had the rounded top and '66 had the release lever on the bottom and '67 had the side release then each year was one year only. I have the '65 seats in my '66. I just started working on them. Is your motor SWF or Bosch? There is a complete write up on the samba and how ONLY the SFW motor is the one that can be converted. I have pictures of mine on my project page. Mine is a bosch and cannot be converted with the armature. I need that '67 motor to convert mine as well. I wouldn't mine buy...

I am 6'1" tall and have never driven my bug (still working on it), will the bamboo tray be hitting me in the legs or is there plenty of room. I love the idea of putting some mini speakers on it in the corners. That's a great idea!

Thanks.

I can't escape from work. Who cares anyway. That's what this project is all about. The factory won't change. When I get home I can express myself and do what I can't do there. If we just become the old cog in the wheel we have become the walking dead. I love this idea of taking a BUG apart and fixin...

At first I was thinking about shantung yellow with chalk white interior. Due to the cost of everything I have begun experimenting with smoke gray body using rustoleum and a roller. I've just painted the inside of the trunk and engine lid one coat. Just an experiment. I have a garage but no $ for a p...

Beaverton, Oregon 1966 Type 1

Started thinking of a project in June 2010. Wanted to do a '68 Mustang but found that the parts were way too costly. Then wanted an old Honda Civic '82 and couldn't find any parts at all. Then the Bug idea hit me and I found an entire community out there. Cheaper parts, cars in various degrees of co...
