Did you purchase a voltage reducer or a 12v wiper armature? I bought option B of the two here. (sorry, still learning all the technical terms and what nots) http://www.mamotorworks.com/acvw?frame=2.4969 I was able to find a spot to get it mounted and I think I located the correct wires but Im not s...

You can run the 6v, you just need to drop in a resistor also to run it on 12v systems. So something like this in addition to that would work? http://www.mamotorworks.com/acvw?frame=2.4969 Something exactly like that. :) I've got one on my '66 and it's been peachy for the 5 years I've owned it. Do y...

Pics of installing 6v to 12v wiper motor converter?
I bought myself a 6v to 12v wiper motor converter yesterday to get my windshield wipers working. Does anyone have any pictures of the process? I am not quite sure how I am supposed to mount this.

Sticking windows...
So I got this problem with a sticking window on the passenger side door. It rolls up just fine and dandy, but it wont roll down. You have to slide it halfway down with your hands then it usually rolls the rest of the way down. Anyone have any problems with this? How might I fix this? Also, taking of...

Check out the links on the main page of this website! Great resources. As for the wires, it's almost always a good idea to start over with them when you can. Wiring is usually cheap and easy, so why not? Plus, you gotta wonder where the horn went and why. Might have just been taken out to use in an...

Yeah I am now actually doing really good with the manual driving! I really like it too especially how it when you go down hills, the car generally stays the same speed unlike an automatic which rolls (out of control careening off a cliff, but not really). I was able to drive it in traffic to the DMV...

First car!
Just picked up my beetle! He is so adorable! The engine has been rebuilt and converted to a 12 volt system. Now I just need to figure out how to drive a stick.

Well, it looks right for the '66, but it also looks like a 6volt motor. You said yours is converted to 12 volt, so when searching for parts, you're probably gonna need to go one year up or more. Here's a link to wiper motors. You probably need one because they kept running the 6v motor on the new 1...
