I just got the little rubber stops about 2 weeks ago, I already had the little finger tab to help open the door, with the stops I don't need it!
I have the spring on mine, but after 44 years it doesn't do much, I just recommend the stops!

Just wanted to say hi! My name is Dave aka Big Wave Dave(BWD)! I've been on the Samba for years and finally found my way over here! I've been a VW lover since about 69, I think, when my dad got a 63 "Glitter Bug" for my oldest sister, I was eleven and it was so cool! I remember lots of fun...

I don't know why it took me so long to get here! I've been a member of The Samba for eight years, bought my bug off there about seven years ago!
It's an early 66, built Aug 65 and it's Bahama Blue!
