Well, I haven't had any issues lately. I did check all the contacts and didn't find any signs of corrosion/green. I cleaned as well as I could with the contact/electrical cleaner and it seems to have helped. I didn't spray/clean the starter or solenoid contacts yet, but plan on doing that today.

Starter?

Ok, so I think I have a similar problem, but not sure. This may be long winded, but here goes. It's a 6V system. A month after buying the car, I noticed that it would struggle a bit starting. Then it went "wwuurrr.....pause.....wwuuurrr...rrrr." and then nothing. Turn the key and nothing. ...

I just bought a 66 bug, also with RH drive, and apparently it's the same color as yours as well. Thought I was looking at my ride when I saw your pic!
