Thank both for the info. Let me say that my VW is running again :P I stopped by the local VW shop the mechanic said " I might be able to get it back into the origainal hole with some luck. Once in I would need to modifiy a wrench to tighten to specs" All in all I did in fact have some luck...

1600cc for other 1600cc

The oil scavanger tube in my engine came lose. Is their any way too reconect it without cracking open the case? Also my engine is a 1600cc dual port I have an opportunity to buy an engine but is a single port will their be any complications changing the engine? I will rebuild the non working engine ...

My emergency flashers don't come on I've tried the turn signal on with flashers, nothing. What steps to begin with to get them working? Adding gas always a problem

You pull the trunk lid release to add gas, and walk around to the front to lift it up and you find out that it is still latched. After doing this about three times I give up and ask for a hand.
What can I do to get the release on the lid and open it by myself?

If the Vaccum advance does not work will the car still run?
I don't really see the plate moving, but the car doesn't stall out either when on the road.
Would it and should I be concerned?
