Thanks for the votes so far it's helping me! It will be a weekend car and we don't get any extreme weather here. Guess I found the answer and it's No there wasn't a shift pattern per a Bug guy who is a B.B.T. parts dealer but that company offers a knob with a pattern.
I'm gonna stick w/ the stock sylte knob.

Shift knob Pattern?

Who knows on our year '66 was there a shift pattern on the knob. My knobs are Grey so i'm replace the wooden one that is on it. I ordered a plain Grey one from Wolfsburg West but is that correct or did it have pattern? :lol:

all good advice! I was planning on spending 100.00 a tire but hopefully not more. I won't be able to show for awhile so I think I will go w/4 white walls one reg spare and it's gonna be my weekend car not daily driver. So now I'll start shopping around now that i know size etc.
