Can we post for sale?

Is it appropriate on this site to post a "for sale" thread?

If not, where's a good place to sell my '66? I'm in California (bay area) and I really don't want to use craigslist. Although, that's where I got it from! :D

Sure you don't have a practical joker in your family who's adding gas for the fun of it?  Your's does sound pretty great but it sounds as if you drive for optimum results. What's your buggy look like? It looks like crap. :D It's light blueish, with some greenish, and some kinda redish ...

Don't take my word as gospel on mpg. I only know what I get. I think the factory said 28 back then. So my numbers seem very high. But I've checked them consistently for about 7 months now. Because even I didn't believe it. I thought it was supposed to be higher than 28 (I had to look it up after I p...

If it runs like a dream I wouldn't worry about it, but fuel mileage is affected by several factors, including the distributor that's on it and the carb jets. Your engine also could have been rebuilt with larger cylinders and bigger valves. Also, when was your last tune-up? But even when everything ...

Check out the links on the main page of this website! Great resources. As for the wires, it's almost always a good idea to start over with them when you can. Wiring is usually cheap and easy, so why not? Plus, you gotta wonder where the horn went and why. Might have just been taken out to use in ano...

WOW, nice bug! Love it the colour. When you say stick, is that american terms for Gears? Driving a Manual car is the one of the main joys of driving alone, I don't understand how people can drive automatics  Yeah, we call a manual gear box a stick gear box. Or just "stick." And I lov...

I'm just saying that the '66 was a 6 volt. Since it's been converted to 12 volt, you'll need a 12 volt wiper motor. You may be able to find a 12 volt motor that is otherwise similar to the 6 volt, and that may be best, but usually any 12 volt motor that connects to the mechanism the same way would w...

Well, it looks right for the '66, but it also looks like a 6volt motor. You said yours is converted to 12 volt, so when searching for parts, you're probably gonna need to go one year up or more. Here's a link to wiper motors. You probably need one because they kept running the 6v motor on the new 12...

That is really coming out beautiful! Can't wait to see the final result.

By the way, what kind of radio is that? Sorry if I missed it in your descriptions earlier.

I had the same thing happen to me years ago. It turned out to be loose lug nuts. Mine were obvious because two were missing and the others were very loose. But I didn't notice until I had someone drive it slowly while I watched from behind. That's one theory. The other is a problem in the axle. And ...

I ended up getting the 19L for now. Seems to be fine so far. It came down to price for me right now. Next time I might go with the optima.

And I paid about $89. Right between the two prices listed here. Of course.

I had a roller pedal on my baja. Don't remember it being too close to the brake. Maybe that's cuz I spent so much time replacing the throttle cable. I junked the roller pedal and went back to stock, never had that problem again.

Just my opinion, but the roller pedals are junk.

San Jose, Ca

BugFormance in San Jose is just plain awesome. Been around a long long time and have outlived all the bug shops that used to be here. There is another one in Sunnyvale, but AVOID that one if you can. They over charge at every turn and I had horrible customer service. Now that was over a year ago, b...
