Anyone have an original headlining - pics wanted!

Hi folks, I'm restoring a '66 Beetle, and have got to the stage of getting someone to fit the headlining (one of two jobs on the car I won't do myself!). The trim shop has asked if I can supply some photos of how the headlining should be fitted around the tops of the A pillars at the windscreen - I ...

Horn wiring - help!

Hi folks, When I got my '66, the horn was wired on a toggle switch on the dash, and worked fine. Now I'm nearing the end of my restoration, I want to get the horn on the steering wheel where it should be. I've got a wiring loom and a wiring diagram, but because I never had a working horn, I don't ac...

Under dashboard heating pipes

Hi Folks, It's been a while since I've been on here, but I'm just getting towards the end of my 1966 bug restoration :) Does anyone have any photographs of the original routing for the under-dash heater pipes? I've got the Y pieces, but not sure exactly where they should be and how the tubes should ...

Love the unusual lenses :D

Are you looking to find the tail light surrounds too, or just keep the lenses alone? I think they look great as they are 8)

Thanks Mike :D Just a quicky update, as I've taken a few days home - I get fidgety if I go too long without getting dirt under my fingernails from playing cars... I now have front suspension, all set up and standard :D http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b24/jdiwell/bug209/CIMG9376.jpg http://i16.phot...

The pan is looking sweet! How nice to have great helpers. Is the stone chip finish have a rubberized feel to it? Do you know how it is formulated? We have companies here in the States that spray on a truck bed liner. I wonder if this is similar. Thanks for providing all the pictures. It is a great ...

Thanks 8) - I've been getting loads of advice from all my friends who can paint, and slowly taking everything on board... I've bought the paint already, I'll be using 2k paint throughout... quite difficult to get over here now due to the environmental regs on it :) I love my bug in the multi-coloure...
