Sandy, Mater and Gunther

Sandy has been part of our family for 6 years, she is my 66. We have had two new additions to the family this year a 2012 beetle named Mater and a 56 named Gunther.

No problem!!

I still think the air chisel is the right choice with the right bit, and I also used painter's tape and a terry cloth on body just to be safe, but didn't need it. The pin did come right out working it from the bottom torwards the top and I did not have to use an oversized pin or reamer. Good luck to...

Air chisel

I used an air chisel with a tapered bit and it did the trick. I removed old pin and had new one in to add a mirror on passenger side in less then ten minutes, no heat, no special too, no door removal, and no goofed up paint, it worked great!!

:?: If I still use the old 6V wiper motor and have the wiper conversion kit from EMPI that is a turn dial speed control type do I need to have the in-line resistor too?
