I have a 66 vert I am restoring with the original color of "Sea Blue". The top and interior are noted as being "Platinum". I can't find anyone who has knowledge of that color, or a replacement top in that color. I believe that it is a very light gray color. Any info is appreciate...

That's what I have been thinking. It is odd though that the motor number matches the build date time of the rest of the car. Must just be a coincidence. The generator also says 7V on it, so it may have been re-cored to 12 V.

I have a November 1965 vert build date with what looks like an original 1500 motor and 12 volt electrical system. Can this be original? I know that F series motors were more common in early 1966 models with H0 motors not coming until later. And the 12 volt is a mystery. I thought that was not until ...

I need an original air cleaner for a 1500 resto. Is there a specific one for this engine or is any pre-1967 version correct? Does anyone have the correct one for sale?

Thanks for you help. I have figured out that the VIN on the front plate is etched rather than in raised form, and is to the right of the "156" raised designation. I'll clean it and check.
