Hi Cinderbull. Good to hear so many people around here with '66 Beetles. My niece saw it for sale in south Texas and sent me pics. I drove down the next day and bought her. Excellent condition. John, that's cool. I grew up in Farmersville, not far at all from Nevada. Thanks to all for the welcome!

Thanks. I live in McKinney. I actually bought the beetle for my niece who just started college at Texas A&M. I'm doing some work on it now so she can drive it through school, then I get it back. I've so much fun with it its going to be hard to give it up for a few years.

I recently bought a '66. This is the first one I have ever owned and I'm having fun with it. It was in pretty good condition when I got it but I'm planning on doing some restoration. I'll post some pictures soon, I might need to ask some advice from some more experienced owners.
