Pictures - 12 Volt Power Outlet

If I've done this right, I should be able to attach pictures to make much more clear my posting yesterday of my installation of a 12 volt power outlet.
Thank you to H Moto for advice on how to compress files.
I will try now.

12 Volt Power Outlet

To recharge my cell phone and to provide continuous power to my Garmin GPS I installed a 6 to 12 volt inverter, fused and turned on and off with a small trim rocker switch. The switch and receptacle are located pretty much out of sight under the dash in front of the gear shift lever and accessed ins...

Synthetic Oil - Mobil 1

I'd like to get a conversation started about the pro's & con's of using synthetic oil in the 1300 engine. I have a good friend who has put this (10-30 Mobil 1) into her car - '66 1300 - and now is wondering if she did the right thing. And if the wrong thing, should she drain it and replace it wi...

Power Inverter - 6 Volt to 12 Volt

I have a beautiful and all original '66 Sunroof Beetle and I would like to be able to use a Garmin GPS and to sometimes recharge my cellphone while on the road. I'm considering installing an inverter to go from 6 to 12 volts and a 12 volt power receptacle in the car. This is a link to an inverter I'...

Broken Fuel Pump Flange

After a winter layup of ~ 6 months my fuel pump stopped pumping. I removed the pump and in attempting to remove the bakelite plastic flange, which was very tight, it cracked and sheared. A piece is stuck down about an inch and a half below the area where the flange sits on the crankcase. It will not...

Refilling/Topping-up Transmission Fluid

I have to replace the transmission boot on one side of the tranny and will have to also top-up the fluid level. I'll use jack stands (I don't have a lift) and maybe should use four stands to get the car level and the transmission level for the refill. Are there any ideas RE: what kind of a pump for ...
