Converted to 6 volt LED's?
I would like to convert my brake lights, turn signal lights and possibly tail lights to LED's which hopefully will be brighter than my existing/factory incandescent bulbs. I worry a lot that the existing bulbs are not bright enough. Has anyone here done this and if so can advise where to obtain the ...

Pertronix
Looking to maybe put a Pertronix on my 66 which is still 6 volt and still has original distributor 0 231 137 009 (vacuum advance style). Some sites emphasis that the coil has to have an impedance of at least 2 ohm or the Pertronix 'coil'/module will burn up. I couldn't find an installation/instructi...

Correct brake pedal adjustment?
I adjusted the pedal so that it has the correct position relative to the plunger distance from the master cylinder piston. Approx how far should the pedal move after the plunger comes into contact with the piston before it feels actual resistance? From what I understand, the piston is supposed to tr...

I trust you have converted to 12 volt system? Otherwise your choices might be limited or you might be able to get a converter to up convert your 6 volt supply to 12 volt for just the 12 volt equipment. Not sure what power ratings the converters come in. Others with more experience will hopefully chi...

Third brake light
I ended up buying and installing this one: http://www.brakeflasher.com/brake.htm I adjusted it to not flash. i.e. it just goes on and stays on continuously as long as the brake pedal is pushed. Read a few places that some jurisdictions don't allow the light to be flashing except on emergency vehicle...

Plasic battery box source.
I would like to place my 6 volt battery in a plastic 'battery box' similar to a marine and RV battery boxes, to try to avoid the dreaded rot in the floor where the battery is situated. I 'googled' but did not find any, and other places such as Walmart have some but they are all too large. I even loo...

Jack options.
While doing repair of rusty floor pans, I discovered the area behind the running board beneath the rear window was badly rusted away. I replaced a section of it by welding in a patch. The bottom horizontal section was also rusted rather badly and this is the section to which the jacking 'tube' is at...

Would like to add third middle high brake light
Would like to mount 6 volt or combination 6v and 12 volt(for the day if and when I convert to 12 volt) third middle brake light on the inside of the rear window. Has anyone here done this? If so, source and part model number of the light? And is it as bright as you expected it to be? i.e. are you ha...
