Re: Help w/ wiring for dome light in my convertible rearview mirror
Thank you for your help - I will be working on this as the weather changes to spring. Just got my mirror back from Koch's who did a fantastic job of restoring it. Can't wait to get this to be a working part of the beetle. I'll reply if I need more direction (probably in April or May).

Help w/ wiring for dome light in my convertible rearview mirror
I want to get the light in my 66 convertible to work again. Pulled out the lens and there is a cut stub of a wire. Probably done when the car was painted at some point. Anyone know if the wiring is any different than the wiring diagram for a 66 sedan? Suggestions for how to get the wire threaded to ...

Sea Blue convertible w/gray top - anyone have pictures?
I'm going to need a new convertible top for my Sea Blue beetle. I'm considering a gray top. Anyone have that combination and willing to post a picture of the car with the top up?
Thanks!

Thanks for the ideas - I went through all the wires to the relay (like THIShttp://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/Detai ... 1953227BWW only for a 6V) one at a time and cleaned them & dielectric grease on them.
Now it works like a champ - brakes on, headlights on.

More details
OK - I pulled things apart and made sure everything has good connections. No obvious corrosion or issues. :( I did some more testing and have determined that it does seem related to the amount of "juice" in the system because the turn signal (both directions) will stay on if there is any a...

turn signals working intermittently - need new relay?
Owned this 66 (6v system) for a couple years & turn signals worked perfectly. Just recently, the turn signal will stay on, often when the brake is depressed. I can hear a buzzing as it seems to be "trying" to blink. Sometimes it will then begin blinking again. I don't know what a signa...

Convertible top pro replacement in West Mich.
I've got a 66 vert that has a nice top, but it was the prev. owner's first go at replacing the a top and it leaks at the front window. I'm looking to change the color & am willing to pay to have a pro do this so that it will seal properly. Any suggestions for someone in the West Mich. area? Anyo...

Dream come true
First car was a 72 super w/automatic stick, loved it but the body rusted out and I had no place or funds to restore it. Always dreamed of an older convertible to enjoy and keep up. Bought a 66 that was the perfect mix of drivable and has lots that can be done to improve it. Love the sea blue c...

3 point seat belts on a 66 vert
I just bought 3 point seatbelts for my 66 convertible from Wolfsburg West. They said it would work but I don't know where all the mounting points are for a convertible. Anyone have pictures/descriptions of approximate locations they can reply with? Because it's a convertible, I thought I'd have to g...
