The 1966 VW Beetle Forum

SO my wife hyper extended my driver side door to the point where I feel I need to replace the whole door. Where can you buy a complete door assembly? or at least a shell? Do It doesn't seem like they sell doors as a complete piece, just the skins and such.

I've been busy so I haven't posted here in a while... My 66 is running great and I sure am enjoying it now that they weather has cooled off here in Cave Creek Arizona!

Thanks! I want to keep it original in most ways with just some custom twists to make it interesting. The color was already changed and a bigger engine swapped in before I got it. No matter what the yellow wouldn't be original, so no harm done...

I just had mine converted back to drums in the front so I could run the stock chrome wheels with the Porsche hubcaps I love so much. PITA and it wasn't cheap. I didnt like the adapters because it makes your wheels stick out funny.

It spent the week at Karls custom VW getting converted back to drum brakes and 2" drop spindles installed. Looks pretty good. Just a couple more issues to resolve!
