Worked all day on the 66... Pulled the rear brakes and rear axle seals.. ordered the axle seals from WW.. then found later when cleaning up the backing plates that the (know that I know the name) leaf springs were missing. Sounds like timing to me.. check your distributor and make sure its where its supposed to be.

Bought some low back seats for the car today. Had to drive 100 miles to get them.. but they are are still cheaper than buying them locally!

Well, taking the carb apart was interesting.. lost the spring out of the choke section (the cover was stuck on and took some persuading to get off.. as soon as it came off... the spring was a goner! I broke the plastic "cup" that resides inside the choke.. it was a heck of a day.. went out...

Well, its always sad to see cars we want, turned into things we don't like. :lol: A lot of the baja bugs were simply done because of some parking lot mishap and they saw it as easier to cut things off than repair them.
