:D Making lots of progress since the last time I posted! I actually registered my '66 for a car show this past Saturday, but a family emergency derailed my plans. First time for a show and all I have to show for it is my lost registration fee. Oh, well. I'll try to post some pics soon.

Hey, SeeBlau!

Pulled out my latest WW catalog, and sure enough, I see what you're talking about. Don't know how I missed that. For 29 bucks, looks like a winner to me! Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the info, Brian. I've been swamped myself, and now my '02 NB needs a timing belt, so my '66 hasn't been getting much attention. Here in VA it's illegal to drive a car with antique tags to work, and the state troopers DO enforce it!! Sooo, gotta get the daily driver taken care of first. Gr...

starting hot vs. cold

Just replaced my carburetor, and my '66 is running beautifully. However, I've noticed that while it starts the first time everytime when cold, after a drive (20 minutes +), if shut off, it doesn't want to start again for a while (till it cools?). Any suggestions?

Thanks much!

Welcome, grgnkat

Where in Virginia are you? I'm in southwest/southside (Henry Co.). Maybe we could compare notes/frustrations!

Thanks, Brian. I could probably meet you in Greensboro on 8/4 or 8/5. I very well may still need it by then. How much do you want for it, and what kind of condition is it in?

San Antonio, huh? I did some time there back in '82 at Lackland AFB. All I remember is some guy with a Smokey the Bear hat screaming in my face for six weeks. I hope the folks outside the gates are a little more mellow! A belated "thanks" for the welcome!

$1200?!! Matt, that's one of many reasons this Long Islander left Long Island. You would not believe how much cheaper things are in other places. Also, I'm going to check into the auto repair program at the high school where I served as assistant principal for three years. They do a lot of welding t...

Bolt size

Does anyone know what size bolts hold the rear seat back to the rear quarters? Mine are missing. Seat back is there, but just set in place. Thanks!
