Bought a newer shop to help preserve my convertible until I can start on it. I would like to build stand to put it up on so I can stick my hardtop underneath. How much would and empty car (completely stripped) with complete pan weigh?? I can pull the engine to balance it, but want to build it heavy ...

I recently drove my 1st car, a '66 bug, for the first time in 21+ years. I'm not sure of my plans yet, except to get it back on the road. I posted a pic in the resto forum. Thanks for the info this site provides.
