even at 100 bucks a pop you could bugger up the seals and headliner 2-3x before it'd be worth not doing it yourself....

how long are they estimating it will take to do?

that might be the kicker...

ideally it should only cost 200 bucks to do it... but then it really depends on how busy they are...

but if you are having issues starting it might need the carburetor cleaned

you could drain your tank when you park your bug and buy fresh gas in a jerry can (little overboard but if tank hasn't been fully emptied in a while you could have bad gas in there)

from what i can find out 65-77 were the same...
which seems wrong to me...

i thought it was 65-69 but not sure... really tempted to grab tape measure and run out to cars to check...

bought just recent... working on fixing... issues rust / leaking windows etc...
